What to Expect

Midtown Baptist Church gathers for worship every Sunday morning at 10:00 am. We meet at 9701 W. Markham St. (in the fellowship hall of Markham Street Baptist Church). Our entrance is located off of Wedgewood Dr - just look for the MBC signs!

The worship service at Midtown Baptist Church is a blend of contemporary and traditional. A typical Sunday gathering includes worship music (both hymns and choruses), Scripture reading, prayer, and expository preaching. Our regular pattern is to preach through books of Scripture, letting the point of each passage be the point of our message.

MBC offers a Sunday School hour for children that runs during the worship service. There are classes offered for infants (infant to 18 months), toddlers (18 months to 3 years), and preschool (3 to 5 years). Of course, parents are encouraged and welcome to have their children stay with them for the entirety of our Sunday service!

During the Sunday School hour, your child will be taught biblical truth that is focused on Jesus Christ. Beginning with the Old Testament, our teachers walk through biblical stories, teaching your child how every portion of Scripture points to Christ. Our heart's desire is for our children to see and hear the gospel each week, and it is our prayer that each of them will come to embrace Christ as their Savior and their Treasure.

After the service, we have refreshments at the back of the sanctuary. This is a great time to fellowship with other believers and reflect on the sermon. It is also a good time to talk or pray with one of our pastors.
